University Of Manitoba Collective Agreements
While the University and Faculty Association finally ratified a four-year collective agreement that did not include a pay increase in the first year, followed by 0.75 percent and one percent increase for the second and third years, both parties agreed to renegotiate the four-year salary of the contract for the fourth year. At the height of a three-week strike in November 2016, the association filed a complaint in which the university said the university had not revealed that the new progressive conservative government had asked the university to freeze faculty salaries.
